The Prophet (SAW) said: "The first duty that man is called to account for on the Day of Resurrection is prayer. Our Lord, Whom nothing escapes, will address the angels and say to them: 'See if the prayer of my servant is perfect. If it is, write it down for him as perfect. If my servant has supererogatory prayers, fill them with the imperfections. Thus will it be for all his deeds.'"

What will those who have neither obligatory prayers to their credit, let alone supererogatory prayers, present!!! Think, my dear brothers and sisters, and start praying!

What Excuses for Not Practicing As-Salat?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. And may greetings and peace be upon Muhammad, the last messenger.

O man! What has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Noble, Who created you, then fashioned you and formed you in harmony? He fashioned you in the form He willed. [Surah 82, verse 6 - 8]

"Come to prayer, come to success!" This is what the mouadhen tirelessly repeats, yet quite a few people turn a deaf ear...

Then there came after them generations who abandoned prayer and followed their own desires. They will find themselves in perdition [Surah 19, verse 59]
