Surah Al-Fatiha is the greatest chapter of the Quran. It has no equal in the rest of the Book or in the Scriptures that preceded it. It is a light that was bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and was not attributed to any other Prophet or Messenger before him.

Some of the Pious Predecessors have affirmed that when this Surah was revealed, Satan let out a huge cry of lamentation. It holds a central place in the daily prayer and therefore in the life of the Muslim.
