Praise be to Allah, Who is described as the Attributes of Splendour, Magnificence and Grandeur. Who treats every soul according to what it does. He has made the day and the night alternate, for those who wish to remember and show thanks. The hearts have submitted to Him while fearing Him. "He guides whom He wills to a straight path."

He made some of His servants rise up and they stayed up at night and prayed... He showed them the delights of this world, but they refused them and abstained. "They slept little at night and at the end of the night they asked Allah for forgiveness" [s51 v17-18].
